Older Windows operating systems such as Windows XP and Windows 98 required that the USB flash drive be safely removed. In fact, when a USB flash drive is plugged into the system, the process of data reading and writing continues. So Windows has the option to properly separate the USB flash drive.
When USB is plugged into the system, it has an icon in the system tray. Right click on it then the option to Eject USB comes up.
If you have a complaint that your USB data is corrupt then you should use the Quick Removal option in Windows.
By the way, this option is turned on by default, but it should be checked carefully.
To do this, open the Device Manager after plugging the USB flash drive into the computer. You can also open Device Manager by going to the properties of the computer or if you want to type devmgmt.msc in the tab and press Enter, the Device Manager will open.
There will be a list of all devices. Click on the Disk Drives drop-down button and you will have a USB flash drive. Right click on it and select Properties.
When the properties open, go to the Policies tab. Select the first option Quick Removal under Removal Policy here. Then click the OK button below.
Suppose this option is enabled. Now you can disconnect the USB from your computer whenever you want without telling Windows.
